Races

Honiara, Guadalcanal hosts the annual running festival on Sunday 13 October 2013 including 2km, 5km, 10km fun runs, half marathon and Guadalcanal Peace Marathon. The Solomon Sea, Savo Island and Florida Group provide a picturesque backdrop.

The festival commemorates the Guadalcanal Campaign of World War 2 and honours the 38,000 war dead and those who served in the South Pacific theatre. 

The run follows a westerly course along Mendana Way passing through local villages and historic wartime sites. 

Run packages start from $599 including airfares (Brisbane – Honiara return), entries and competitors running singlet. All prices AUD.
